seriously.. Sony is so close to locking down this gen its not even funny.. All they need to do is just drop the 40 GB all together and keep the MGS4 PS3 bundle and lower the price to $349.99 and i guarantee that it will be the top selling console month after month! Yes even outselling the Wii with flying colors!! Throw in that bluetooth headset included with every 80 GB modeland they will be set all gen! Heck that PS3 bundle could last all gen for the next several years.. The MGS brand is so timeless and represents the playstation brand so well that they could keep that 80 GB SKU for the next several years to come

a friend of mine is wanting to buy the 80 GB bundle but he cant fine one ANYWHERE.. Not Toys r us, wal mart,best buy,circuity city not even gamestop! Do these things sell out the second they come in or something?! with the Wii you can actually come across one if you work hard in finding one, but these 80 GB PS3 bundles are NOWHERE to be found! This will be the next Wii and stay sold out!

I got to chapter 14 on warrior and took a break when mgs4 came out. I beat MGs4 and started replaying mass effect and gow2 before going back to ng2. For some reason I just didnt feel like playing it. After going back to it, I have to say I have more fun replaying gow2 than finishing ng2. I restarted on easy mode because I figured I was just rusty. The game is just missing something, I had more fun playing sigma even after I had beat ng and black to death. Now that is been a while, I think people should admit ng2 sucks and was a total let down. There is no where to explore. I had fun hunting down scarbs to unlock items. The skulls just dont do it for me. Its hard to put in to words whats missing from this game but for me it just lacks.

Pretty good score, not that it matters since it wasn`t really hyped that much here.

I`m thinking of looking into it myself though.

ok i will be honest i have no idea how much of the total power gears 2 is using but i just want to point and laugh at all the fanboys saying that gears 1 tapped the 360. i think Gears 2 looks 2-3 times better than the first one, when you consider the happenings on screen, advanced AI, destructable physics and the already smooth framerate Epic is really pushing the 360 to most likely its limits.

the playing field has been leveled Gears 2= Killzone 2 graphically. lets see what Guirilla has been up to but Gears 2 will be the better e by a mile.

Will it make a difference? I think not unless the 40GB cuts in price. (It doesnt make sense a 40GB and a 80GB for the same price), but he did say core, so maybe another one with a higher price points with BC?

80gb ps3…for only 399.99, who woulda thought that woulda happened when the ps3 first launched at 600$.

This is easily the best bargain this gen, or am I wrong?

It seems like this Sony announcement has gone somewhat under the radar.

But apparently, the new core 80GB PS3 at $400 will not have backwards comp. I don`t wanna turn this into a backwards comp argument thread, but even though the storage is twice the size, the fact that it has 0 backwards comp. like the 40 GB (which apparently is indeed going to be discontinued in favor of this SKU), might still keep people away and lean more towards the 80GB bundle with Motorstorm. But then now, if you get that bundle, you`ll essentially be paying $100 for Motorstorm, and backwards comp that isn`t even 100%. I myself have a PS2, but it`s more so about convenience and for those who want a PS3 and don`t have a PS2.

Having said that, I just can`t see myself getting any SKU other than this one, just from the price point. I could get this and MGS4 separately and save myself some money. I`m excited, yet confused at the same time as to why Sony would have an 80 GB SKU at this price point with the other 2 bundles.

So is this a good idea? And whether you think yes or no, then please explain why you believe that.

Its weird that it says its painful to play on the keyboard and mouse, but it scores the same as consoles.

I heard about the FF13 U.S/Europe delay so I need to get a PS3 and become fluent in Japanese.

But I want my PS3 to be BC. Is the $400 80gig BC? If not, is there a different SKU?

Hopefully another price cut before March (ff13 demo anyone? )
