seriously.. Sony is so close to locking down this gen its not even funny.. All they need to do is just drop the 40 GB all together and keep the MGS4 PS3 bundle and lower the price to $349.99 and i guarantee that it will be the top selling console month after month! Yes even outselling the Wii with flying colors!! Throw in that bluetooth headset included with every 80 GB modeland they will be set all gen! Heck that PS3 bundle could last all gen for the next several years.. The MGS brand is so timeless and represents the playstation brand so well that they could keep that 80 GB SKU for the next several years to come

This a very good question and actually very possible, I could defintley see the PS3 getting a $100.00 price cut by this holiday season on both the 40GB and the 80GB MGS4 bundle.. I would say that Gears 2 will be enough to make the 360 edge it out but I just dont know, both will have great games this year and if both are evenly priced this holiday season it will be very very close.

• Xbox360 arms a longbow firing from a quiver of AA and AAA exclusives…
• Some of the exclusives miss and go to the PC instead…
• PC collects Xbox360`s l00t and flee`s the battle in good health…
• PS3 equips the MGS4 Lance of destruction…

What happens next?

This is in no way best PC out-there,its fairly average and outdated.

I have 7600GT amd atholon 3800+ SINGLE CORE processor 2,7 G of ram … Windows XP (Vista is not verry good for gaming right now bad framerates etc,while in XP everything runs smoothly)

Remember that consoles DONT RUN games on max (example oblivion on ps3 and x360 is something like tweaked medium).

Resolutions that sonsoles run games in is mostly 720p STRETCHED over screen no mether how big,lets say that you have 1080pTV your game is still in 720p but STRETCHED over (of course there are few games in full HD but they arent verry demanding) so i said to myself well ill use HD resolution 720p.Every game looks nice not really big difference (thats what Sony and Microsoft know- average eye + tv you cant tell difference ) so i said to myself - THIS IS EXACTLy WHAT I WILL DO. I WILL BE SMART. I will use 720p resolution and tweak settings just like consoles do. Not only i have great FPS but games look bether than on console.I also tweaked my graphic card options so it doesn render some unusefull stuff (who see difference between lets say 8x AA and 16 x AA ,ok mybe someone see but you get the point)

Also dont forget that consoles usualy dont get over 30 FPS! Games for consoles are mostly limited to this (and FPS drop from time to time sometimes really bad)

SO YOU DONT NEED 8800GTX or something,ok if you want to upgrade than DONT GIVE MORE THAN 150$ on GPU!!!

Also DONT use VISTA use XP vista is not good for gaming ATM

Optimized your graphic card drivers for BEST PERFORMANCE!!! Turn of VSYNC! (nvidia cards- right click on desktop than go Nvidia Control panel there should be options)

Sometimes HIGH TEXTURE QUALITY is not much different from MEDIUM texture quality. Lower it!!! This is EXACTLY what consoles do. They look almost same,but have great performance boost.

BE SMART AND DONT BUY EXPENCIVE PARTS!

Hey, i just have one question for you guys. If a game is multiplat on your console (PS3 or 360) aswell as the Wii and PS2 does it turn you off? Knowing that your getting a game thats on weaker hardware (No offense Sheep) with only some improvements (Maybe)?

I personnaly try to stay away from multiplats that are on PS3, 360, Wii and PS2.

Am i alone or do many people think like me?

I remember how many people were saying that MGS4 graphics are bad and the textures are crap and it doesn`t look good from the videos and screenshots

Guess what MGS4 is the best looking game on consoles in many reviewers and people opinion and its really a good looking game

And it is the best game this gen in also many reviewers and peoples opinion

I mean it has the best graphics and the best sounds and story and an amazing gameplay and boss fights and mindblowing cutscenes

xbox fans just leave your fanboyism away for at least couple of days and go play this game and if you don`t own a ps3 play it on your friend`s ps3 because it is like a crime to be a gamer and not play this awesome game

Ratchet and clank-uncharted-resistance-gt5 prologue-mlb 08 the show and mgs4 are amazing ps3 exclusive without mentioning the upcoming games like LBP ,resistance 2,killzone 2,bioshock(with additional content) ,motorstorm 2,FFXIII and god of war 3.

Now I`m not saying that MGS4 and GTA4 don`t deserve the scores they got although I have a feeling that MGS4 is more deserving of it. But you can`t deny that Spore and Starcraft 2 will make some impact this year. Especially since that Spore`s creature creator trial has been leaked and getting some critical acclaim even here on SW. Then you also have Starcraft 2 which will stay close to its roots with Blizzard giving it some good polish and it will also sell massively but that doesn`t really matter.

I`ll just short this down: The year isn`t over. There`s still a lot of highly anticipated games coming that could match MGS4 and GTA in terms of quality. So enough with the “GOTY confirmed!!” when we`re in june.

Think about it. When was the last time EA did a 360 or PS3 exclusive game?

Meanwhile, they`ve been giving us Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142, Crysis, Spore (all other versions will have different names and simpler gameplay), Battlefield: Heroes, BattleForge, Crysis Warhead, etc, etc.

Why so many PC exclusives, EA?

Yeah, yeah, I know “Why do you have to open a pandora`s box again when we have peace at last?”. System Wars is currently pretty boring, that`s why.

So anyway, I (and many of us PC gamers) have been reading “facts” that PC gaming is dying and/or it is already dead.

One thing I couldn`t find in those posts was a clarification, a proper reason.

So my question is, who actually wants PC gaming dead and - why?

By now, the majority of System Wars users have begun to predict scores for Metal Gear Solid 4. They follow a quite simple pattern, really. If you`re a cow, you`re hyping it 10.0. If you`re a lemming or sheep, you`re hyping it 8.5.

However, I`m pretty sure that neither of those scores are a possibility. It`s well known that the Metal Gear Solid series by nature has a lot of what mainstream reviewers perceive as flaws (and us MGS fanboys perceive as genius): Over-emphasis on storytelling (allegedly MGS4 is 1/3 cutscenes), contrived gameplay mechanics, and a bizarre/offbeat sense of humor, to name a few. These “flaws” will prevent MGS4 from getting a perfect score, because they are important aspects of the game (using the precedent of the first 3 games). Reviewers in general just don`t give 10s to polarizing games; for a perfect score, there has to be unanimous appeal.

Regardless of these flaws, you can also be sure that MGS4 will still be rated as an AAA title by most well-known reviewers. Why? MGS4 has been hyped like crazy, even by journalists who previewed the game, and any flaws won`t be enough to overcome the apparent consensus of reviewers that it is a great game. It`s even possible to argue that even if MGS4 wasn`t all that great, reviewers would still give it an AAA score just because of the hype… and while that argument could be valid, I don`t want to go there.

So yeah, there you have it. I`d love to be proved wrong come June 12th though (a 10.0 would be cool, and an AA score would surely cause hilarity).

EDIT: Just so you know, I`m not a cow… If you haven`t noticed, I bash the PS3 day and night in System Wars. So please don`t call me one.
