Now with MGS4 out i see many 360 fans bashing the ps3, and the ones that arent are like “oh wow, ps3 has 1 good game”..

Now what i dont get is why would someone say that, like if anyone cared of what they said. This is like kindergarden politics (funny video on youtube btw).

Look im a ps3 owner, and i love my system, it does everything i expected and asked fore and sony keeps making it better. Thats not to say 360 is bad or anything, i just personally got a ps3. PEople can give me reasons why ps3 is bad, and i personally wouldnt care. Same goes with if i went with a 360, i wouldnt and shouldnt care what they say bad about my system. Fact is, (ill use ps3 as a example here), many people world wide has bought a ps3 (i beleive finally worldwide ps3 beat out 260, ill double cheak on it), now if alot of people bought it and are happy with it, how is it a bad system?? Fact is Xbox is loved by americans because of microsoft is big here, and it came out a year before making alot of people saying OHHH NEXT GEN (i will admit i would have been one of those people, but i didnt have the money to buy a system for a long time) i just recently bought ps3 a few months back.

But honestly its ridiculas, even in school a week ago, i was talking to my friend how i just was able to connect my psp to my ps3, and some random kid was like “You have a ps3″ and i said yeh, hes like “ohh what a scrub ps3 sucks”, i say “How so” he said theres no good games. so i say, “uhh theres many multiplatform games like cod4 and i personally grew up with the sony exclusives like mgs, FF, goW, socom, ect. so i like them as well” Then he says theres no online. I said yeh theres PSN, i havent had a problem online since i got a good internet connect and im wired into the wall… Then he says “but you cant get any DLC” i respond saying “ummm what?? yeh theres actually alot, like that new army of two and cod4 mapack, etc ( i really looked at him liek he was a idiot when he said that, and i did bust out laughing).. Point is, he honestly thought those facts were true, and had the nerve to randomly go up to me and say that (did he honestly think i would care???) Im writing this because im trying to show how its funny how people do this (espeically all over this forum, and gbecause i want to share a good laugh”.

And one more thing why all the hate when mgs4 came out? because it got a 10 and boosted the sales this week past wii leading into number 1 for the week (as if sales in anyway effected your life) or is the giant morale boost ps3 owners have (but then again if you own a xbox why should you care, shouldnt you be more excitied about gears2 and counting down the days like i did for mgs4? Who cares if t got a perfect 10 (i personally beleive it should have), but if you think it derserves a 1/10, then in your mind force yourself to beleive it, noone, and i mean none is asking you to accept gamespots reviews, if you share a different opinion then dont let the “review get to you”.

SO to basically tie this in to the title, basically im trying to say why do people go out of there way to prove the other system is not as good as theres? Its a pschological problem, honestly, its like in school where you have to be bigger, better and more badass, but in reality noone cares. Its like people need to justify there system to prove and convince themselfes that there better and they made a better choice (as if a system affect or reflected you in any way).

Sorry if this seemed ps3 fanboyish, since i just got it awhile back ive been playing it alot (Although i do play xbox all summer when i visit them all summer, so i do play xbox often. Im not trying to put down any system, so sorry if i made it seem like that. This is really a question asking both sides (mainly to figure how why people feel like they must do this), this topic really intrests me. Anyway, please try not to post flawed logic. Ill go first. I own a 360 because of the great games and awesome onine play. I have a wii for games like mario, and such and so forth.

It`s everywhere. Everyone seems to think GTAIV was a disappointment, or just crap. My only gripe is that it becomes stale after the story is done, but during the story it`s really immersive. It`s very easy to forget your playing a video game and be Niko Bellic in a recreated version of NYC. There`s a lot of freedom while keeping it`s dignity as a realistic mobster game.

I think what a lot of people need to do is suspend their disbelief and stop looking at everything with a critical eye. Dont analyze everything you see or experience from the perspective of a gamer looking to get his money`s worth, just listen to the story and play the game and you`ll always find some good to take away from it. That way, you wont have to run to system wars and tell everyone how horrible you thought a game was.

I think Assassin`s Creed suffered from the same thing. Everyone looked at it as repetitive, and eventually that`s all you could think of while playing it. Look at it as Altair hunting down his 9 targets and slowly learning the truth of what was happening around him, paralleled with the events surrounding Desmond and the animus.

AC and GTAIV were great games, and as a game collector and gamer, I`m really glad to have them.

Hopefully this thread will show that the hype this game is recieving can be declared “justified”, and not just some desperation attempt.

In my perspective id say because every preview it has gotten, there were no negatives about the game. But I also think ive seen enough gameplay to consider it a 9.5+ title for me. Then there was the poll I made. Statistics show that Sackboy is better than anyone else. A game with a charecter that has been voted better than anyone else (meaning chuck norris) must mean the game he will be in will be good.

Ok every console has it`s downside. Wii has lots of shovelware and not enough good games atm and is underpowered. PS3 is too expensive and shares too many multiplats with the much cheaper Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 has had crippling hardware issues because it was rushed to the masses a bit too early.

Knowing this you bought one, several, or all of them. So tell us the reason those negative factors didn`t stop you from purchasing your system, or wont factor in when you do get one or all of them.

I`m limited on space and don`t play video games as much as I used to. I probably wouldn`t be watching TV in high-def either at this point. So I figured I`d buy like a 26″ and save on the money. But a smaller HDTV seems like…having a Corvette with a small engine, for example.

I have been comparing bravias for a while now, buying one next payday infact.

I have noticed that the (720p) D series and V series are identical except that the D series has motionflow.

D series 40″ = $1719.00 AUD

V series 40″ = $1475.00 AUD

Is the difference in cost justifiable with motionflow etc? I will be using the TV primarily for games, which I think run at 60hz on both TVs anyway?

Help me out here. Trying to get the best bang for my buck so that I can buy a 360 to go with the TV

I was at target today, and they didn`t have brawl. If they did, I might have bought it, but I`m not sure. Something is seriously wrong with me if I`m a big video game fan, and don`t even know if I want to buy this. I watched some videos of it online, and it looks like a lot of senseless, “beat the heck out of your opponent and knock him of the stage.” Not saying it isn`t great, just trying to figure out why I`m not as excited as everyone else is.

Also, I almost always play alone. A lot of people love super smash brothers for it`s multi-player, how good is it in single player?

Hi guys, I just bought a Wii for 2 weeks now I have rented Mario Galaxy, & bought SSBB & Zelda Twilight Princess. I just don`t seem to get it, I looked at the top 10 games for the system & honestly after seeing Mario the only games that appeal to me are the Zelda & Metroid franchises. I consider myself a hardcore mature gamer & have had my share of PS & PC games right now I`m kindoff regreting buying it, is there going to be mature games on this system - the gimmicks?
