I own both the PS3 and 360 and i have to say that while i do think the 360 is overall the better console due to its current game library (which will change in the PS3`s favor sooner than later) I do think however the XMB is just overall more user friendly and more free than the dashboard.. I love being able to browse the web while listening to music.. Heck, I could spend hours downloading user created themes on PSU.com from the webbrowser and just browsing the PS Store.. And also xbox live marketplace feels a little cluttered compared to the new refined PS store.. With the PS store you actually feel like its a game store whereas with marketplace its just a list of stuff. Overall i find the XMB to be more user friendly and just easier and more fun to navigate.. anyone else agree?!

Let me know guys, I was really impressed with NG2, yeah it has some issues, but overall I thought it looked great. I have DMC4 still in the plastic, I was wondering if it looks better. Thoughts please. Thanks and dont flame.

Ok so finally I will hopefull be getting a console. Please help me decide what to buy. Let me first tell you the prices over here:

Xbox 360 Arcade - AED 850

Xbox 360 Pro - AED 1150

Nintendo Wii - AED 1400

The conversion rate between USD and AED is 1 USD = AED 3.65

I can get Gears of War or Halo3 PLUs the xbox for cheaper than the Wii.

This should give a basic idea of the prices over here.

The PS3 is too expensive and pretty useless to me. I only want to play MGS4 and God of War III on it and I can do these two games on my cousin`s PS3 later on.

The Xbox 360 Elite is also useless to me because of the price and the unnecessary HDD space.

In an xbox I will be using the HDD only for game demos and MAYBE a few pictures and MP3s. For me the 20GB is more than enough.

The Wii doesnt have DVD playback but that doesnt matter to me. I can use the SD card for images, viewing them on screen with my family and thats good enough for me.

I dont really slow games and get bored of them. I HATED Resident Evil 4 on my PS2. Even though it was a highly rated game, and I still hate it, so you might get an idea of how I hate slow paced frustrating games and how they bore me.

In the past, I liked God of War, Smackdown Here comes the Pain and Burnout 3 Takedown. These are all fast paced games and I liked them a lot. I tend to only like 9.0 plus rated games because I get bored with games easily so I look for fast paced action.

For the Wii, the games I want to get right now are SSBB, Mario Galaxy and that Wario game(maybe not).

I strongly prefer shooting on the PC because of the mouse so the whatever of the following games have shooting, I prefer them on the PC.

For the Xbox 360 I am interested in Gears of War, Burnout Paradise (can play later on my cousin`s PS3), Halo 3, Rainbow Six (both), Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Call of duty 4. There isnt really much the xbox has that the PC doesnt. But the low price and the technically care free gaming of the xbox are tempting while the mouse on the PC is also very tempting.

For the future, which system do you think will get more highly rated fast games? Apart from the few games for the wii, I mentioned are there are any other such games coming out?

I really cant decide. The low price and superior hardware of the xbox seems good whereas the motion controller makes gaming easier on the Wii and it seems likely that the Wii will last longer and will have more fun than the xbox which seems like a simple upgrade of hardware but same old gamepad gaming.

I just purchased a ps3 as a means to play me some MGS4, but with no intent to keep the system past the 15 day return period. I know, weak sauce to be sure, but I figured I could work the system once in my life. Now, after beating the game, I`m totally digging the prospect of playing MGS4 over and over and over again, and putting my 5.1 and Vizio through its paces with some blu ray movies. I am a 3 year owner of the 360, but the main draw, Halo 3, is no longer getting any action, and upcoming exclusives aren`t very enticing. I can`t keep both. What should be done? Which system will offer me more for the remainder of the generation?

I`ve posted this already in a thread ( with the question if all games that got a ten deserve it ), but i want to know your opinions on the subject! ( and please, let it not be some fanboyisch discussion and maybe with some guy`s that are longer here then yesterday ). And it`s not because it`s PS3 game that i got my doubts about it, but because two tens in a month is silly! If gears of war 2 get`s a ten, i wouldn`t agree either! ( if it`s not revolutionary ).

Okay, this is the first time i ever post at gamespot, but i have been keeping up with system wars for about five years. ( Not to be amused with these little gamewars among gamers , but for this is a great place to get information about games really fast! )

I think OOT deserves his 10 out of 10 score completely! I just started playing GTA V … the other ones i never played! But let me get back at OOT! Gamespot`s review, among others, called OOT flawless ( for it`s time, it was IMO ). For doubters i quote ` Ocarina of time definitely follows in the footsteps of the previous games, and the result is a game that can`t be called anything other then flawless ` and ` In a word, perfect. To call it anything else would be a bald-faced lie. `

The controls were perfect, the sound was perfect, the world was, back in that day, really brought to life with an awsome story! It was a game that was revolutionary! Even for it`s graphics … From the review: graphically, ocarina of time is simply unmatched! EVEYTHING was the best for it`s time!

Now, lets get back to todays standards! GTA V and MGS V! Beautifull crafted awsome games… i will never play the last so, even i`m in xbox360`s favor, i can`t really judge for myself! But do they both have perfect controls? very good, but not perfect! perfect graphics, the best for it`s time ? no …. ( and 20 min. loadtime is just too much ) revolutionary ? no… inspiring? yes, in some places! It only think games that really offer a so called ` best in everything experience` deserve a ten! For example, one of my favorite games ever ` halo: CE `. It did everything so well, but it wasn`t revolutionary! it was a 10 out of 10 experience for me, but in the world of gaming, it`s not ( as it should be )!

That`s wat happened, reviewers enjoy games like a 10/10 experience, and they judge it that way … without thinking if there`s more behind that experience! But in gamespots case, they can`t give MGS V and GTA V a 9.9 or 9.8 … with there stupid review system… we`ll never now if they were REAL 10`s! The scoringsystem here invites the reviewer to give a ten quicker then before! Let me explain: Halo 3, world in conflict, SSBB, crysis, super mario galaxy, the orange box … all 9.5! (ironicly, i thought back then that gamespot was giving away to much high scores :roll But if you then play one game that is a little bit better, A reviewer is forced to give a ten, there`s no way out! Gamespot couldn`t give al games a 9.5 here! so they have to give more … that is indirecly lowering you`re standards IMO.

But for me a 10 is a game that gives you a 10/10 experience in a perfect way, and more!

Okay i probably know that this arguement has been posted at least a hundred times but seriously i want real answers. don`t respond to this if u are going to say that”HARDWARE SALES DON`T MATTER” because they do. I might be a fanboy but i have good reason to believe so and also don`t be a siisie and report me if i do something like brag that nintendo is better. Now let the arguements begin. Also before this starts Nintendo DS has been selling more than PSP so u can`t say squat about hardware sales

Yes, another one of those threads haha. I know, but I`ve been struggling with my 360 due to the weekly Xbox Live disconnections, and PS3 has free online play… Of course sacrificing my 360 would also be to sacrifice two of the best games I`ve ever played(Halo 3 and Lost Odyssey.
