why does microsoft(or should i say microsony) keep stealiing sonys exclusivsi wanted an xbox 360 not another ps3 we had such good exclusives to name a few GTA DMC 4 and Unreal Tournamentnext thing u know ull be seeing racet and clank on the 360
Ok so finally I will hopefull be getting a console. Please help me decide what to buy. Let me first tell you the prices over here:
Xbox 360 Arcade - AED 850
Xbox 360 Pro - AED 1150
Nintendo Wii - AED 1400
The conversion rate between USD and AED is 1 USD = AED 3.65
I can get Gears of War or Halo3 PLUs the xbox for cheaper than the Wii.
This should give a basic idea of the prices over here.
The PS3 is too expensive and pretty useless to me. I only want to play MGS4 and God of War III on it and I can do these two games on my cousin`s PS3 later on.
The Xbox 360 Elite is also useless to me because of the price and the unnecessary HDD space.
In an xbox I will be using the HDD only for game demos and MAYBE a few pictures and MP3s. For me the 20GB is more than enough.
The Wii doesnt have DVD playback but that doesnt matter to me. I can use the SD card for images, viewing them on screen with my family and thats good enough for me.
I dont really slow games and get bored of them. I HATED Resident Evil 4 on my PS2. Even though it was a highly rated game, and I still hate it, so you might get an idea of how I hate slow paced frustrating games and how they bore me.
In the past, I liked God of War, Smackdown Here comes the Pain and Burnout 3 Takedown. These are all fast paced games and I liked them a lot. I tend to only like 9.0 plus rated games because I get bored with games easily so I look for fast paced action.
For the Wii, the games I want to get right now are SSBB, Mario Galaxy and that Wario game(maybe not).
I strongly prefer shooting on the PC because of the mouse so the whatever of the following games have shooting, I prefer them on the PC.
For the Xbox 360 I am interested in Gears of War, Burnout Paradise (can play later on my cousin`s PS3), Halo 3, Rainbow Six (both), Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Call of duty 4. There isnt really much the xbox has that the PC doesnt. But the low price and the technically care free gaming of the xbox are tempting while the mouse on the PC is also very tempting.
For the future, which system do you think will get more highly rated fast games? Apart from the few games for the wii, I mentioned are there are any other such games coming out?
I really cant decide. The low price and superior hardware of the xbox seems good whereas the motion controller makes gaming easier on the Wii and it seems likely that the Wii will last longer and will have more fun than the xbox which seems like a simple upgrade of hardware but same old gamepad gaming.
I didnt know where to post this but as I was sort of comparing two systems, I thought this would be the right place to post this.
Anyways, for the following games, what PC specs would be minimum to run the games at a level equal to the xbox 360 graphically and at exactly 1080p:
Gears of War
The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion
The Orange Box
Tom Clancy`s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
Tom Clancy`s Rainbox Six Vegas
Assassin`s Creed
Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare
and for the future, I supposse Halo 3 and GTA IV are also going to be out on the Pc sowhat do you expect for those games?
Basically, I want to find out how to get the same experience an xbox would give me on a PC so that I can utilize a mouse for aiming and while I am at it, get the otehr games for Pc itself.
PS3 is now gonna take over, because of one game:
Metal Gear Solid 4
Uber Graphics,
Uber Sound,
Uber controls,
Uber story,
Everything is Uber…
What does XBOX have?
Halo3 … thats ur best exclusive look at urs thn climb out from hell to see PS3`s uberness
Comander Out
I have seen lately that the xbox 360 is not exactly living up to the competition, the ps3 with metal gear solid 4, home, and all it own known franchises like final fantasy and god of war, the new in-development motion sensor controller, an in-game cross media bar. etc etc etc.
i know the 360 has exclusives, but those besides halo doesnt have any big popularity, inevitably the xbox hasnt been long time in the bussines in comparison to sony and nintendo whose have established franchises
i was wondering if anyone knows if microsoft is working on something to make up for it, seriously if we check the 360 when it first came out there havent been any real BIG features added in this time.
i could say im a fanboy because i know the 360 has the potential but if microsoft keeps taking naps and just hoping we keep paying for Xbox live without bringing anything new to the table, then pretty much is gonna be the third place console
I know the 360 has a fair amount of exclusives out and yet to be released, a strong library of games but, my main complain is about features or something new besides games, ps3 will soon have an in-game cross media bar, something similar to the guide Blade on the 360, ps3 looks like is gonna have a good friends list management, the only thing we could still brag about, and now the ps3 is gonna have it soon. i dont mind paying for xbox live because it had more stuff than the competition but thats about to change. its hard not to worry about it when the ps3 is about to offer the twice of features for free.
what the hell is microsoft up to? i repeat, they are just hoping we keep paying xbox live without expanding the **** experience?? the hard drve space is not big of a problem! Hell i have stored on my hard drive more demos than i care to count
I picked up Halo 3 and Ninja Gaiden 2.
So after I get home and hook it up, this happens……
Sucks, but I should`ve known buying a faulty system would bring something like this upon me and many of its owners.
360=Defective Hardware
Do you see where this is going - ultimate casual appeal or not ?
No doubt in my mind this kind of thing will get very popular down the road with virtual contestants.
Bigger then American Idol - i dunno but me thinks with time this will become mainstream.
Thoughts ?
SBG Channel to bring `Trivia, Reality TV, Puzzles, and Sports` to Live.
By Philip Kollar, 06/16/2008 The Intellisponse leaksof possible upcoming Microsoft announcements keep on coming. Next on the list is the SBG Channel, an addition to Xbox Live that (according to Kotaku) could introduce Microsoft`s version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
The SBG Channel is described as focusing on “programmatic, highly concurrent social interactive games.” Aside from the aforementioned Millionaire and Jeopardy — both listed as examples of game shows that might show up on the service — the Channel will also offer “Reality TV, Puzzles, and Sports” offerings of some sort. Microsoft also plans to have live events with both real-world and virtual prizes at stake.
More leak reports are coming, and watch this spot for a full list of all the other Intellisponse leaks once they are posted.
Quote: While the thread on this rumor is pretty thin, we wanted to share it with you anyways, being clear about its origins. After yesterday`s rumor-splosion gave us some more potentially accurate info on Lips - the Xbox 360`s answer to PS3`s SingStar - we received an unverified tip which appeared to originate from within Microsoft, which told us that the Microsoft Game Studios-published title was being developed by iNiS, the Japanese dev best known for its Elite Beat Agents and Ouendan Nintendo DS games.
So, to recap: Microsoft is working on a karaoke game codenamed “Lips” - that`s a rumor. The developer working on the game is iNiS - also a rumor. That iNiS has a long history of making music and rhythm games and that it`s co-founder Keiichi Yano confirmed that the developer was in fact working on an unnamed Xbox 360 game - those are both facts. We`ll (hopefully) put the rest of the puzzle together four weeks from today when Microsoft holds their E3 press conference. If you`ve got any more information, we`re all ears about Lips. http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/16/rumor-elite-beat-dev-inis-developing-xbox-360s-lips-karaoke/
It is no secret that Microsoft wants to be the first to bring out the newest in the next-generation games console. They were the first with the first of the next-gen consoles, the Xbox 360 and they now wish to do this again with the Xbox 720. Many believe that Microsoft made a huge mistake rushing the production of the Xbox 360, the company has had a string of troubles with the console, but it now seems as if they are finally on top of these problems.
Xbox 360 boss Robbie Bach, has been speaking in an interview with Venture Beat, he said that if you asked him whether being first to the market with Xbox 360 was the right decision, he`d say “definitely yes,” and the platform holder has a desire to do it again with the next console. He also added “The last cycle for the original Xbox was a little shorter than typical (at four years). We started way late.” He then went on to say “If you take the question of whether it was the right thing to try to be first with Xbox 360, the answer to that is definitely yes. It has given us a leg up in a number of places that are super important.”
When asked on his expectation for the next console`s release plans, he said it was “too early to tell.” Many people will be thinking that Microsoft is involved in a race against Sony so that they can launch the Xbox 720 before the PS4, but Sony have stated recently that they are in no rush to launch the PS4, so Xbox might just have the Xbox 720 ready for us by 2011. But this might just play in to Sony`s hands once again.
